Asake’s Instagram update sparks speculation on YBNL

by Showafrica June 2, 2024 1752 0 Comment

Popular singer, Akeem Ololade, better known as Asake, has caused a stir on social media after removing music star Olamide’s Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) record imprint from his Instagram bio.

Recall that Asake was signed by Olamide in February 2022 and has quickly risen to become one of the top Afrobeats stars both in Nigeria and internationally. Recently, he made headlines by unfollowing everyone on Instagram and deleting all his posts on the platform.

The singer’s latest move has caused a buzz, with many speculating about the status of his deal with Olamide’s YBNL label.

Nigerian singer Asake aka Mr Money has reportedly parted ways with Olamide and YBNL after buying out his contract. 🤝

Asake is now an independent Artiste and has removed all YBNL information from his Instagram.

He is now free to do his shows as he wishes, release his music as… pic.twitter.com/b0D8YvqrsK
