Nigerian Ore Oduba WINS Strictly Come Dancing 2016 in shock result
Nigerian born Ore Oduba has been crowned the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2016 – becoming the 14th champion of the hit BBC show.
He bagged not one but TWO perfect scores during the evening, first for his Showdance, which wowed judges and fans alike with his and partner Joanne Clifton’s gravity-defying routine.
Despite having no professional dance training, Ore’s weeks of hard work paid off as the 29-year-old BBC Sports presenter beat Louise Redknapp and Danny Mac to be named the new winner.
Overcome with emotion, he gushed: ‘I love you (Joanne) with all my heart. I’m so speechless. I just want to say thank you for everything you have given me. You have been the most incredible person.
He added: ‘Every single one of you. The guys in wardrobe, I know you’re watching. Hair, props, judges, Len , Tess, Claudia, this is for you.’
Meanwhile Joanne, 33, was left speechless as she was crowned the show’s professional winner for the first time since she joined the programme in 2014.
Congratulation to you Ore. You make Africa Proud. More pictures after the cut.
