Africa Fashion Week London Holds Successful Model Auditions Ahead of 16th Anniversary Show
London, United Kingdom – Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) successfully hosted its London model auditions on Sunday, 5 July, at ArtsHouse Studios in Camden Town, bringing together aspiring models from across the UK and Europe for the opportunity to walk one of the industry’s most celebrated African fashion runways.
The auditions attracted an impressive and diverse group of aspiring runway models, with participants travelling from as far as France. Models representing a wide range of backgrounds, including India, Ethiopia, Cape Verde, and several other countries, showcased their confidence, talent, and individuality before the AFWL selection panel.

The event highlighted AFWL’s longstanding commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural representation within the global fashion industry. For more than a decade and a half, the platform has provided emerging and established designers, models, creatives, and fashion entrepreneurs with opportunities to showcase African fashion and culture to an international audience.
Now celebrating its 16th year, Africa Fashion Week London has become one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to African and African-inspired fashion. The annual showcase continues to champion innovation, heritage, sustainability, and cultural exchange while creating opportunities for the next generation of fashion talent.
The selected models will take to the runway during Africa Fashion Week London 2026, taking place on 22-23 August at 8 Northumberland Avenue, London WC2N 5BY. The two-day event will feature runway presentations from renowned and emerging designers, exhibitions, networking opportunities, and a vibrant celebration of African creativity and craftsmanship.
